MEDIA DIRECTOR

 

Description:

 

This is a part-time position for Monterey Church.  The primary responsibilities include the oversight of website/YouTube and the capture, edit and broadcast of Sunday services and other ministry events. The focus of this position is leveraging the online experience and creating a digital strategy to spread the Gospel, minister to people online, create connection and community, foster engagement, and disciple people digitally.

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maximize Monterey Church’s web and YouTube presence for the purpose of reaching more people with the Good News of Jesus, ministering and discipling them through digital forums.

  • Oversee weekly digital media distribution of audio and video elements through Monterey Church’s website, social media, and other online outlets​.

  • Lead, build and oversee the Production Team and work with the Worship Pastor to capture and stream Sunday worship services and other ministry events.

  • Create various graphics, slides and other promotional images.

  • Set specific digital objectives and monitor progress/engagement.

  • Commit to learning new technical skills that relate to the position. Study and work to stay current and ahead of the curve on technologies for worship and church environments.

  • Experience in leading and developing people and teams

  • Self-motivated, innovative and works well with others on a team

  • Experience with social media, online marketing tools and other web-based technologies

  • Willingness and desire to always be learning/growing/experimenting with new skills/digital platforms

 

Compensation:

$20 per hour 

 

Hours per week:

Approximately 20 hours per week (Sundays are mandatory).

STUDENT MINISTRIES DIRECTOR

 

Description:

 

This is a part-time position for Monterey Church.  The primary responsibilities of this role is to provide the direction, leadership, creation/refinement and oversight of all student ministry at Monterey Church. This includes weekend services, weekly events/small group meetings, outreach events, volunteer opportunities, and other special events such as youth trips, camps, conferences, etc. 

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Look at every Monterey Church event, gathering or function through the lens of a student and bring that perspective to Leadership’s ministry planning and implementation meetings.

  • Overall development/selection and implementation of a discipleship strategy (including curriculum) for leading students into a deeper understanding and love for God and His Word, and a desire to live a life marked by His love and grace. Track students decisions to follow Jesus, get baptized, and grow in discipleship

  • Regularly communicate and periodically meet with parents. Work with Monterey Church Leadership Team to implement the Orange strategy and other strategies that are aimed at equipping parents to better fulfill their role as the primary spiritual leaders of their children and to assist parents in the spiritual formation of children within the home (i.e. parenting conferences, parenting resources, etc.).

  • Recruit, train and disciple volunteers. Ensure that proper screening of all volunteers occurs and volunteer requirements/guidelines are established and maintained. Schedule all needed volunteers using Planning Center Online.

  • Oversee and be responsible for budgets and administration for the student ministries.
